Water is too slow to fill (more than two minutes) because the pressure in the pipes is too low.

The fill hose is clogged.

Check the water pressure in the pipes. If it is intact, check the solenoid valve and also the permeability of the inlet system of the machine.

Problem with drainage

Water has been draining from the unit for more than 1.5 minutes because of a blockage in the pump filter.

Foreign object in the drain hose.

Drain pump is out of order.

Check the condition of the filter and, if necessary, clean it. If the drain hose or drain pump is defective, it is necessary to replace such units of the machine with new parts.

Pressostat signals that the tank is overfilled

Pressostat is broken.

Water pressure in pipes changed abruptly during washing process.

Filler valves are blocked.

After checking the functioning of the pressostat, repair this unit or replace it with a new one. Also check that the solenoid valves are working properly.

Problem with filling the tank with water

Water does not fill the machine within 10 minutes because of lack of water in the pipes, defective pressostat or flood valve. It could also be a problem with the electronic module or a clogged hose.

Make sure that the water pressure in the pipes is sufficient to fill the machine. If the parameters are normal, you need to check the inlet assembly. If the valves and pressostat are OK, check the controller with a test of its electrical circuits.

Problem with drainage

Water drains from the machine for longer than 10 minutes due to a broken pressostat or drain pump. This problem can also be caused by a clogged hose.

The first thing to do is to check if the drain hose is passable and if the drain pump is functioning. Then evaluate the operation of the pressostat and its connections.

Aqua Stop has been activated.

There is water in the sump of the machine because the tank or the hose is leaking.

The Aqua Stop sensor has failed.

Check if there are any leaks and if all parts of the machine are intact, check if the Aqua Stop is working.

Problem with power supply

The mains power supply to which the machine is connected has exceeded the required limits.

Check the power supply by assessing the current frequency and voltage.

Excessive foam formation

An excessive amount of laundry detergent has been added.

The detergent was mixed up (hand wash detergent was used).

Correct one dose of detergent.

Problem with the door lock

The triac has burned out, which is responsible for powering the hatch lock.

Check the triac and if it is not working, replace it. Also check the operation of the controller.

No response from tachogenerator

Tachogenerator failed.

The thermal switch malfunctioned.

No contact between motor and control module.

First check if the tachogenerator works and if the thermostat is broken, then check all circuits leading to the control module.

Problem with the motor (rotating without command)

A short circuit has occurred in the triac of the control board.

Check the triac, and then replace it with a working part.

Problem with temperature sensor

Sensor malfunctioned due to short circuit.

Check the sensor circuit and repair the defective parts.

Open circuit in sensor circuit.

Check the sensor electrical circuit and repair the defective places.

Problem with the door

The hatch has not opened within two minutes after the end of the wash because of a faulty locking device (mechanical or triac related).

Investigate the lock triac as well as the locking device itself.

Problem with non-volatile memory

The electronic module has malfunctioned, causing the memory chip to malfunction.

After identifying the fault of the module, you can replace the entire board with a new part or re-solder its contacts.

The problem with the door lock

The lock switch is broken, there is a break in the electrical circuits of the lock, or the door was not properly closed.

After making sure the door is closed tightly, check if the limit switch is functioning, and test the electrical circuits of the lock.

The hatch does not lock due to mechanical damage of the lock, problems with the power supply of the machine (voltage is lower than 180V) or with the controller and its electrical circuits.

Check the functioning of the hatch lock and make sure the power supply parameters are normal. Next, check the controller and then its connections.

Problem with filling the unit with water

The water in the tank is not signalled three minutes after it has been turned on because there is no water in the pipes or very little water in the pipes. This problem can also be caused by a malfunction in the controller, level sensor or fill valve. Electrical circuits may also be malfunctioning.

Check the water pressure in the water supply line. If there is nothing wrong with the plumbing, check the pressostat and then check the controller. Do not forget to inspect circuits connected to these components.

Problem with water draining from tank

After 3 minutes from the start of water withdrawal, there is no signal that the tank is empty due to a clogged drain system, a problem with the controller or the level sensor. Also the cause of malfunction may be a broken pump and a wiring problem.

First check the condition of the drain pump as well as the drain hose. If the drain system is functioning normally, evaluate the operation of the pressostat, as well as the connection of this unit with the controller.

Drainage Problem - During a wash, the "tank full" signal comes from the pressostat and activates the drain pump which shuts off 2 minutes after the water has been drained.

Controller defective or pressostat malfunction.

Fill valves are defective.

Water pressure in the water supply line has suddenly increased.

There is a break in the wiring.

First of all, assess the functioning of the controller, as well as check its electrical circuits. Next, test the pressostat and make sure there are no breaks or clogs in the drain system.

Water Heating Problem

A problem with the temperature sensor when the water stops heating due to a short circuit or breakage of the sensor.

Check the sensor itself as well as its connections and the operation of the controller.

Water takes a very long time to heat up (less than 40°C for 10 minutes) due to a problem with the power supply or a defective heating element.

Another variant of such a problem would be the situation when the water is not heated to the required parameters during the set time interval. In both cases, the washing is not interrupted, but the water remains cold until the end of the process.

Check first the mains voltage, then the heating element and the wiring. Repair or replace faulty parts.

There is no signal from the tachogenerator during the washing, so the motor restarts three times, and if it does not start, the washing process stops

Tachogenerator is out of order (most often winding breakage).

Electric motor or controller doesn't work.

Check tachogenerator first, then motor, electric circuits and controller. If damaged unit cannot be repaired, replace with defective one.

No signal from tachogenerator during spin cycle, so the engine restarts three times and if it doesn't start, the washing stops

Tachogenerator, motor or controller not working. There may also be problems with their electrical circuits.

Check the tachogenerator and motor first, and if they are good, check also the controller and wiring. If you find a problem, repair or replace the damaged parts.

Problems with the mains supply

The mains supply to which the machine is connected exceeds the necessary limits.

Check the mains supply by evaluating the current frequency and voltage.

Problem with the motor

Triac breakdown of the motor (often caused by a short circuit).

Check the triac, and then replace it with a good part. It's also sometimes necessary to replace the whole motor.

Aqua Stop has tripped

Water has accumulated in the washer-dryer pan due to a leak in the tank or hose.

Aqua Stop sensor has failed.

Check for leaks and if all parts of the machine are intact, check that the Aqua Stop is working.

Problem with the control module

Washing program is interrupted due to controller malfunction or problems with the power supply to the machine.

Check the power supply and restart the machine. Also check if the controller is working properly.

Е15

Problem with the controller

The controller has malfunctioned, so after pressing "start" or selecting the washing program an error appears after 3 seconds.

Evaluate the condition of the controller, and then replace it.

Frequent malfunctions

Although the quality of Hansa washing machines is on top, they still have weaknesses, the presence of which can be judged by the occurrence of typical malfunctions. Most often, the owners of devices of this brand address the following problems:

  • Breakdown of the drain pump. The most common malfunction with Hansa machines.
  • Contamination of the drain filter and nozzles.
  • Failure of the controller. Failure is manifested by spontaneous shutdown, failure to perform the selected washing programs, drum rotation in one side.
  • Aqua Spray system failure.
  • Temperature sensor short circuit.
  • The machine hangs up due to voltage fluctuations.
  • Worn brushes or bearings.

Tips and prevention of breakdowns

  • External cleaning of the body of the machine is carried out only with a soft cloth and delicate detergents. Do not wash the machine with abrasive agents or solvents.
  • Because failure due to contamination of the drain filter is quite a common problem with Hansa machines, it is important to clean the filter regularly. It is recommended to do it approximately every twenty washes.
  • Also periodically (once a year) clean the drain hose by removing it from the machine, previously unscrewing its back wall.
  • Once a month, clean the compartment in which the detergent is loaded. After opening the compartment and pulling it by the handle, at the same time press its limiter. After removing the compartment, wash it under the faucet with a cloth or brush and then replace it.
